Expedian Urgent Care in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an autonomous Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to lead urgent care with minimal oversight in Mansfield, Midlothian and Waxahachie, TX. Schedule: 3 days per week with every other weekend; weekdays 9:00 AM–8:00 PM (10.5 hours), weekends 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (7.5 hours).

39 hours per week. Requirements include a Master\'s degree in NP/PA, active TX license with DEA, 1 year urgent care/ER experience, and BLS & ACLS.

Formación

• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Location: Mansfield, Midlothian & Waxahachie, TX (DFW Metroplex)

Position Type: Full-Time (39 hours/week | 78 hours per pay period)

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of dedicated Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience (Autonomous practice required)

About the Role & Schedule

We are seeking a skilled, confident, and highly autonomous Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our urgent care clinic in Mansfield, Midlothian & Waxahachie, TX (DFW Metroplex). This position is designed for an experienced clinician who thrives in an independent capacity, managing a diverse patient panel and performing acute clinical procedures with minimal oversight. We respect our providers' work-life balance and offer a stable, predictable alternating schedule:

Structure: 3 days per week, including every other weekend.

1. Weekdays: 10.5-hour shifts (9:00 AM-8:00 PM, includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
2. Saturdays & Sundays: 7.5-hour shifts (9:00 AM-5:00 PM, includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
3. Total Hours: 39 hours per week / 78 hours per bi-weekly pay period.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope

Independent Practice: Serve as the primary on-site clinician, executing sound diagnostic reasoning and treatment planning in an autonomous capacity.

Procedural Expertise: Independently perform essential urgent care procedures, including but not limited to:

• Incision & Drainage (I&Ds) of abscesses.
• Advanced wound care and laceration repair (suturing, stapling, dermabond).
• Splinting, joint immobilization, and acute injury management.
• Foreign body removal (ears, eyes, soft tissue).

Broad Patient Demographic: Confidently evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients aged 3 months and up.

Diagnostics & Imaging: Conduct immediate, independent general X-ray interpretation and preliminary orthopedic reads to drive timely on-site patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the State of Texas (with current DEA registration).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct, post-graduate experience in a high-volume Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting. (Note: Due to the solo-coverage nature of this role, we cannot accept new graduates at this time).
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required.
