Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Meritus Xpress Lane Clinic in Hagerstown, MD. This full-time role focuses on evening and weekend urgent care, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The NP will evaluate and manage acute illnesses, perform common urgent care procedures, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure seamless patient care outside standard primary hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP program required.
• Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Maryland.
• National board certification for NP and DEA registration required.
• ACLS/BLs certifications preferred and maintained per policy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care.
• Perform routine urgent care procedures including laceration repair and I&D.
• Manage patient care plans and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Document encounters in the electronic health record accurately.
• Provide patient education and collaborate with care teams.
