Qualifications

• 3+ years of Urgent Care coding experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, DRG, and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding
• Familiarity with medical records management and reimbursement processes
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in using medical billing software and billing systems
• Certification in medical billing or coding is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Process medical billing claims accurately using ICD-10/ICD-9 and other coding systems.
• Review patient records to ensure complete billing information.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits before submitting claims.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and perform medical collections as needed.
