Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Clarksville, TN is seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team. You will provide clinical care in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings, including initial evaluations and preparing patients for provider evaluation.

Responsibilities include taking histories, vital signs, documenting, performing X-rays, phlebotomy, injections, and ensuring safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience performing X-Rays is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain next steps.
• Perform initial evaluations and document histories.
• Conduct X-ray testing and ensure safety.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for provider.
• Assist with procedures and phlebotomy.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and inventory.
• Support front desk with check-in and check-out.
• Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality.
