UPMC | GoHealth Urgent Care in Monroeville is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our urgent care centers with efficient patient flow. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, thorough vital signs, and patient comfort throughout visits.

Training and certification pathways help ensure readiness to perform point-of-care testing and assist clinicians. The position offers a starting hourly rate of $17 with experience-based progression, plus potential monthly incentive pay and a sign-on bonus

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent AND 1+ years of MA experience OR MA certifications at hire
• CPOE certification within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire
• One of CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA certifications or nursing degree/LPN/LVN required at hire

Aufgaben

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history
• Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments
• Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks
• Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment
• All other duties as assigned.
