Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as Medical Assistant in clinical setting (hospital/primary care/ED/urgent care).
• MA certification options: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.
• LPN/LVN or Nursing degree or EMT/Paramedic backgrounds acceptable.
• CPOE certification within 2 weeks if MA cert not obtained at hire; BLS certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Take vital signs and perform preliminary assessments.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records.
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals.
• Perform opening/closing duties and equipment checks.
• Support a safe, organized clinical environment.
