Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in collaboration with UCSF Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will assist in patient examinations, manage check-in and vital signs, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis under the direction of an urgent care provider.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $23.00 to $30.00 and may include monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire, via ARC or AHA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform vital signs and point-of-care testing.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage medical records.
• Open/close the clinic and perform daily controls.
