Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred; front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration with paperwork and insurance verification.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments at the center.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Answer questions and keep patients informed of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Take vital signs and escalate critical cases to the provider.
• Perform point of care testing and relay results to the provider.
• Maintain supplies and clean exam and front desk areas.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Handle phone calls and daily correspondence; keep reception well maintained.
• Conduct courtesy follow-up calls and assist with opening/closing duties.
