Northwell-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support rapid patient intake and front-end operations. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect vital signs, and prepare exam rooms while assisting providers during urgent care visits.

The role requires a High School Diploma with Medical Assisting training; BLS is required at hire. Phlebotomy and EKG experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire time.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer questions and inform patients of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and collect history.
• Take vitals and conduct basic physical testing.
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, UA, ECG, HCG).
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Maintain and scan medical records.
• Handle calls and daily correspondence; close out day.
