Northwell-GoHealth Urgent Care seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will register patients, document medical histories, and assist clinicians with examinations and point-of-care tests in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include collecting vital signs, preparing exam rooms, drawing blood when needed, and coordinating patient flow with the care team. A high school diploma and BLS are required or expected at hire.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Front Desk experience preferred; Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Conduct patient registration, securing required paperwork and insurance documentation.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialists.
• Answer patient questions regarding care and inform patients of their status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform basic vital signs and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms and reception area; stock supplies and update records.
• Perform daily controls and QA logs for equipment maintenance.
