Job summary

Allina Health Champlin Clinic is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant for urgent care in Champlin, MN. The role supports providers and nursing staff, rooming patients, handling specimen processing, and coordinating tests and results. The position offers 20 hours per two-week period with day/evening shifts and every-other-weekend rotations.

Required MA training or equivalent, with BLS certification or in-house training. Starting bonus of $2,000 is available for eligible external talent.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare education.
• Fewer than 6 months MA experience requires 160 hours of clinical externship.
• Preferred: High School diploma or GED, Medical Terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow.
• Collects patient information and vital signs; documents in EMR.
• Performs injections and assists with procedures.
• Supports patient care and educates on tests and procedures.
• Coordinates test results with providers; may prep refill info.
