UTMB Health's Island West Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant II with at least high school diploma, 3 years experience, and national MA certification. CPR required. The role supports clinical care and front desk duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, medication management, and ensuring patient flow. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years experience as Medical Assistant.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with national accreditation.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform as Medical Assistant and Front desk Registration training.
• Able to effectively identify problems and determine solutions.
• Understand clinic flow to maximize clinic usage to meet patient needs.
• Assists with patient flow within assigned outpatient clinic setting.
• Obtains vital signs. Appropriately documents chief complaint and reason for visit.
• Safely and properly administers medications as assigned.
• Accurately documents / communicates interventions and measurements.
• Stocks rooms, carts, cabinets, etc. as assigned / requested.
