Job summary

UTMB Health in League City, TX seeks a Medical Assistant II for CBC South Shore Primary Care. You will provide age-appropriate patient care within a clinical team and may perform administrative tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, three years of MA experience, and a national certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA or equivalent); CPR certification is required. On-site schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized credential.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, supportive, age-specific and developmentally appropriate patient care within the assigned clinical area.
• Assist with patient flow and front desk registration as needed to maximize clinic efficiency.
• Perform and document vital signs, specimen collection, basic tests and delegated procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe environment, ensure proper infection control and equipment readiness.
• Document interventions and communicate with the care team and patients’ families.
