Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will assist with patient registration, vital signs, phlebotomy prep, and basic lab specimen handling to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have MA certification or MA program completion, Front Desk experience, and BLS certification. This role offers growth opportunities within a patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Front Desk experience preferred.
• BLS required at time of hire (ARC or AHA).

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to Specialists.
• Answer patient questions and update on status.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during examinations.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed.
