Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant to support fast-paced, paperless clinics in Berkeley. You will take vitals, room patients, assist with procedures, and perform essential lab tests while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certification, current BLS, and a willingness to obtain DOT certification. Prior MA experience and phlebotomy skills are preferred in a dynamic team that values quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, room patients, and triage in urgent care.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, wound care.
• Administer injections and run basic lab tests.
• Manage front desk duties as needed.
• Obtain DOT certification when trained.
