Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care, a Florida-based urgent care provider, seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures and patient care across our clinics.

Responsibilities include triage, vitals, blood draws, specimen handling, immunizations, room setup, and patient check-in/out. Relevant MA/EMT/Paramedic or CMA/RMA credentials are preferred along with phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or another relevant program; or active RMA or CMA designation; or 6 months MA experience; or licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients’ charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms.
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments.
