Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NCCT) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist clinicians with exams and minor procedures; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, scheduling and test results communication.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing information.
• Maintain clean, sterile clinical areas and proper equipment handling.
• Assist with medication ordering and inventory management.
