High Desert Medical Group in California seeks a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our Urgent Care. You will deliver direct patient care and function as an LVN per the California Nurse Practice Act, with duties including med administration, IV access, blood draws, and patient education.

Responsibilities cover care prep, EMR documentation, safety, and coordination with CMAs and providers. The role supports efficient patient flow and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current IV certification.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Two years ER/Urgent Care experience within the last 5 years preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high-productive environment.

Responsabilités

• Provides general nursing care, such as administering medications, initiating IV access, drawing blood for laboratory testing.
• Operates required technical equipment safety and accurately (ECG, monitors, Hemocue Glucometer, BP, SpO2).
• Assists in procedures prep (laceration repair, eye exams, orthopedic assessments/splinting).
• Perform intake on patients to obtain symptoms and vital signs.
• Document information in patient EMR and maintain patient flow and confidentiality.
• Supervise CMAs and participate in nursing QI and training of new personnel.
