The Opportunity
We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers at ConvenientMD act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new-grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.

Your Impact
- Provide Patient-Centered Care: Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address patient needs while maintaining high-quality, efficient care.
- Assess patient health: Interview patients, perform physical exams, obtain and review medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, ECGs, labs).
- Perform procedures: Administer injections, suturing, wound and infection management.
- Educate and counsel patients about health, therapies, growth, development, family planning, and wellness.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate medical records, electronically sign notes, reports, and records using EMR per policies.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment following regulations.
- Adhere to infection control policies.
- Stay compliant with legal and professional standards, including legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate with a Team: Work proactively with colleagues to treat patients efficiently and coordinate care and dispositions.
- Continuing Education & Mentorship:
- Act as a clinic leader, especially in the absence of the Practice Manager.
- Mentor and support new providers and staff.
- Attend educational workshops and participate in professional societies.
- Precept new staff, providing educational and experiential growth opportunities.
Who You Are
- Education, Licensure, & Certifications:
- Master's degree and certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Active DEA license without restrictions.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC (no online-only CPR or ACLS).
- Relevant experience in emergency, urgent care, or ambulatory settings preferred.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Excellent team collaboration skills.
- Proactive, confident communicator (written and verbal).
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and authentic.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, EMR systems.
- Knowledge of customer service principles, legal regulations (HIPAA, OSHA), and relevant drugs and procedures.
