Job summary

Legacy Health-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations in the Portland area. You will assist in examination and treatment under the direction of an urgent care provider, handle patient check-in, and record vital signs.

The role requires a High School Diploma with Medical Assisting program preferred; Basic Life Support certification is required at hire. Prior MA and front desk experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support may be required at hire.
• Ability to perform vital signs and basic clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Assist with examination and treatment under provider direction.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with procedures.
• Perform point of care testing as needed (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG).
• Maintain medical records and filing of charts.
