Pardee UNC Health Care in North Carolina seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to be the frontline of clinical care in our urgent care clinics. The CMA interviews patients, starts care, collects specimens, and helps deliver test results.

The role emphasizes documenting care in the EMR, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a safe clinical environment. Must hold a CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/ARMA certification and BLS; on-site work with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Medical Assistant certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) as issued by AAMA or CMA as issued by ARMA is accepted.
• Certifications listed must be current and in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients to collect and document history of present illness, medications, and allergies.
• Performs vital signs and standard testing per clinic procedures.
• Coordinates and performs follow-on procedures as directed by a provider, including onsite testing and specimen collection.
• Assists with provider-performed procedures such as suture application or splints.
• Communicates care details clearly to patients and explains policies with cultural competency.
• Documents care into the EMR and ensures necessary forms are completed.
• Collects and prepares testing specimens for transport to offsite labs.
• Maintains supplies and medications for effective clinical operations.
• Promotes a safe, clean environment with standard infection control practices.
