Job summary

NextCare Lincoln, NE is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team. This role features three 12-hour shifts, a fast-paced clinic, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment that values work‑life balance.

You will diagnose and treat patients of all ages, order and interpret tests, perform urgent care procedures, and provide clear discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Board certification as applicable (PA NCCPA or NP ANCC/AANP).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification – willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
