Job summary

Sentara Urgent Care - Newport News, VA seeks a qualified Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) to provide health care services in a walk-in center under physician supervision. Requires Masters degree and active NP/PA license with DEA; DOT preferred; 1–2 years urgent care experience.

Expect 8 or 12-hour shifts, 2-3 shifts per month, and scheduling flexibility. Competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits in a supportive Sentara Health system.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required for NP/PA track.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to move between Urgent Care locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients in a walk-in Urgent Care setting under physician supervision.
• Conduct health assessments, prescribe/treatment plans, and perform procedures as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance, utilization management, and risk management activities.
