Job summary

Sentara Urgent Care Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for PRN shifts. The APP will provide urgent care services, conduct assessments, prescribe treatments, and perform procedures under physician supervision in a walk-in center.

Requirements include a Master's degree, NP or PA certification/licensure, state license, DEA, BLS and ACLS. DOT preferred; NRCME not required at offer but expected within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Masters level degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
• NP/PA certification and current licensure.
• DEA registration required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• DOT preferred; NRCME training expected within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services, health assessments and treatments.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Perform occupational medicine regulatory exams and procedures.
• Work under physician supervision in a walk‑in Urgent Care center.
• Participate in quality assurance and utilization management activities.
