Job summary

Sentara Medical Group is seeking an Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) to provide health care services in a walk-in urgent care center. The role requires collaborating with physicians, maintaining licensure, and meeting regulatory requirements, with flexibility for weekends/evenings/holidays and 12-hour shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a Masters in nursing or physician assistant studies, state NP/PA license, DEA, DOT, BLS, and ACLS credentials, and have 1–2 years of urgent care experience.

Qualifications

• Masters level degree required for NP or PA.
• DEA, DOT, BLS, ACLS certification/licensure required.
• 1–2 years of experience in urgent, immediate, or emergency care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services in a walk-in urgent care center under physician supervision.
• Participate in quality assurance and utilization management activities.
• Maintain continuing education credits and prescriptive authority per licensing body.
