Job summary

Sentara Health seeks an Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) to join the Sentara Medical Group in Gloucester, VA. The role includes walking patients through urgent care visits, performing assessments, and providing prescriptions under physician supervision.

Scheduling flexibility and regional mobility are core expectations. Candidates should have a Master's degree (NP or PA), current NP/PA license, and DEA; BLS is required with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (NP) or physician assistant (PA) required.
• NP/PA state license required.
• DEA license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care medical services to patients in a walk-in setting.
• Perform health assessments, diagnose, and treat common urgent care conditions.
• Prescribe medications and order/interpret basic diagnostics.
• Participate in quality assurance and risk management activities.
• Move between regional Urgent Care locations as needed.
