Job summary

UHA University Health Associates in Martinsburg, WV seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to join the Urgent Care at Berkeley Medical Center. The APP coordinates emergency medicine care, performs assessments, and collaborates with ED physicians and nursing staff to develop and execute a plan of care.

The role emphasizes education, discharge planning, and continuous learning; requires APRN/PA credentials, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and WV licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and ATLS certification required.
• ACNP or FNP considered; PALs certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for emergency medicine patients.
• Coordinates hospitalization and discharge planning as needed.
• Performs/coordinates diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per clinical guidelines.
• Collaborates with DEM faculty and hospital staff; documents care plans clearly.
• Provides education to nursing staff, residents, and students; participates in committees.
