H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to own the urethane chemistry and laboratory function, partnering with production to enhance existing processes and develop next-generation material systems.

Responsibilities include leading lab testing, validating raw materials, mirroring production in the lab, and driving process improvements to improve throughput and product quality. Elastomer experience is highly valued in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required.
• 3–15+ years of urethane formulation/processing experience.
• Elastomer experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with raw material suppliers, technical sales, or chemical distribution may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize existing urethane formulations and processing systems to improve repeatability, predictability, quality, and manufacturing performance.
• Lead laboratory testing and validation of incoming raw materials before they are introduced into production.
• Utilize laboratory equipment that mirrors the production process to identify and resolve material and processing issues.
• Develop next-generation urethane material systems and formulations to support new products and company growth.
• Provide ongoing technical and process support to manufacturing to maintain product quality and improve throughput.
• Identify formulation and process improvements that can reduce cycle times and increase production output.
• Support raw material sourcing and qualification efforts to establish secondary sources for critical materials.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and company leadership to implement material and process improvements.
