Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an URD Lineman, Class B to support underground distribution construction and maintenance in the DFW area. The role reports to the Foreman and involves working with energized 600V conductors, safety-first practices, and mentoring trainees.

The position requires 2–3 years URD experience, an apprentice program background, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL and medical card. Travel and overtime, including storm work, may be needed.

Qualifications

• Two to three years URD work experience is required.
• Successful completion of an apprentice program preferred.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.

Responsibilities

• Constructs and installs underground distribution lines and tests systems.
• Operates heavy and light equipment, including digger derricks and backhoes.
• Supervises apprentice linemen or groundmen during regular duties.
• Participates in safety meetings and tailboards; responds to callouts and overtime as needed.
• Locates underground cable as requested by customers; maintains professional conduct.
