University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is seeking an Academic Coordinator for Urban Studies to support undergraduate advising, schedule management, and program operations within a dynamic academic unit.

The role partners with the Co-Director and Faculty Director, coordinating events, communications, and program services while ensuring alignment with the Urban Studies curriculum and student engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with social media marketing and event promotion is strongly preferred.
• Detail oriented, well organized and able to multi-task.
• Occasional weekend/evening hours may be required.
• Ability to work on campus at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating undergraduate and graduate academic programs, including student services and curriculum support.
• Serving as a point of contact for faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
• Supporting academic processes such as course scheduling, registration, and student tracking.
• Assisting with event planning and departmental communications.
• Supporting departmental financial processing.
• Contributing to website updates and other digital communications.
