Job summary

Mastery PA in Camden, NJ, seeks an Assistant Principal of School Services to lead comprehensive academic and emotional supports for students needing additional services. You will oversee SPED, 504 plans, English learner services, and targeted interventions while guiding a team of teachers and service staff.

You will work with school leaders to implement evidence-based programs, ensure compliance with federal/state laws, and build a culture of high achievement and equity.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education is required.
• NJ state certification in special education is required or in process.
• Administration certification completed or in progress is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Specialized Services programming (SPED, 504, interventions, English Learner services).
• Implement and supervise Mastery intervention programs and curricula.
• Supervise IEP and 504 processes.
• Coordinate evaluations and related services.
• Coordinate School Social Work and Mental Health services with partner orgs.
• Chair manifestation determination and other SPED meetings.
• Ensure accommodations in general education settings.
• Ensure compliance of student files with SPED laws.
• Provide leadership on the school’s Administrative Team.
• Conduct evaluations of SPED staff; provide coaching and feedback.
• Support principals and APs in leading the school and fostering achievement.
