Qualifications

• Background in urban planning, architecture or related field.
• Experience with community-driven planning and equitable development preferred.
• Two-to-four years of planning/architecture/project management/community development experience.
• Project management and organizational skills; ability to work under tight timelines and budgets.
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks within teams and with partners.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of community development projects inside and outside NYC.
• Collaborate with community-based partners on capital project development and planning from feasibility to acquisition and construction.
• Coordinate due diligence reports and manage appraisers, surveyors and environmental contractors.
• Review contracts and qualifications; Research local market conditions.
• Work with development team to secure permits.
• Review and contribute to acquisition and construction budgets, maintenance and operating budgets.
• Support and liaise with architects, attorneys, brokers, contractors and other team members.
• Assist in development of funding proposals and applications.
• Support community planning and design workshops and train workshop facilitators; prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
• Carry out key planning, design and development analyses (data gathering, site-specific and neighborhood analyses).
• Willing to travel throughout NYC for site visits during due diligence and construction.
