Urban Outfitters is looking for an Assistant Site Merchandiser who will be responsible for supporting the team in driving merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience. They will rely on data from site analytics as well as buying to help inform product prioritization for site, email, product assortments and curations and marketing messaging. Their responsibilities include cross-checking inventory, investments, and delivery dates to ensure proper flow of product messaging. This role also focuses on the execution of weekly and monthly marketing messages, as well as execution of site promos. This position requires strong collaborative and organizational skills. The Site Merchandiser needs to multi-task, problem-solve and be pro-active. Candidates should also have a strong knowledge and interest in current fashion and cultural trends.
Role Responsibilities
- Own the email and site process for all relevant marketing, including - creating and maintaining daily campaigns, tracking weekly selling and inventory on all featured styles, and acting as the point person to ensure the customer site experience is translated through linking and pinning
- Partner with Email Marketing team to launch daily email campaigns efficiently and effectively
- Support in the execution of total site strategy through attentive on-site merchandising, a creative perspective on trends, and business insights/recommendations from Analytics team
- Support divisional site merchandising via customer first strategy; optimizing product prioritization by performance and investment
- Partner with manager to understand site metrics for optimization relating to user behavior, product selling, customer profiles, and merchandising data.
- Create curated trend groups for site messaging and emails appropriate to customer that drive sales and support divisional priorities
- Attend weekly business meetings and find opportunities for reactionary messaging to support business needs and recap to larger team on learnings
- Conduct regular site audits and site QA, ensuring best in class experience; product selection, placement, and site navigation and elevating site issues and opportunities
- Prioritize multiple projects including regular seasonal drops, short term sprints, and long-term enhancements to ensure site merchandising timelines are met
- Stay informed about industry best practices, competitor activities, and emerging trends in eCommerce and website merchandising
Role Qualifications
- 1-3 years eCommerce experience
- Awareness of the industry and trend, specifically within ecommerce
- Experience using web content management systems preferred
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
- Strong affinity for the product and brand
- Able to make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions.
- Intermediate Excel skills (working knowledge with pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Ability to work on multiple projects, at multiple timelines, while maintaining an excellent
- Pro-active with new ideas and have a healthy curiosity
