City and County of Denver’s Parks & Recreation is seeking a Plans Review Specialist I with arborist credentials to review residential and commercial forestry plans and ensure compliance with Denver’s codes and standards. The role involves collaboration with developers, engineers, and city agencies to protect urban forest assets.
The ideal candidate holds ISA Arborist credentials, TRAQ, and Municipal Specialist, with experience in tree health evaluations and tree appraisal; knowledge of
Qualificações
- ISA Certified Arborist, Municipal Specialist, and TRAQ Certification
- In-depth knowledge of tree health evaluations in the Denver Front Range
- Experience with tree appraisal methodology
- Technical knowledge of zoning and construction methods, codes and regulations
- Experience with TreeKeeper inventory program and Microsoft Office suite
Responsabilidades
- Review and approve permit applications and development plans for compliance with forestry rules
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on major construction projects and plans
- Review construction plans for adherence to forestry, zoning and building codes
- Consult with engineers on complex permitting requests and coordinate reviews
- Evaluate tree health and condition for pre/post project activities
- Monitor compliance and issue forestry permits and notices as needed
- Prepare management reports on projects, permits and permit revenues
