Job summary

Casey Trees in Washington, DC is seeking the UF Foreman to lead planting projects and field operations, supervising crew chiefs and crews under the Urban Forestry Manager. You will plan tree planting, manage site logistics, and coordinate with design, horticulture and other departments to deliver community tree programs.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in horticulture or similar field.
• ISA Certified Arborist must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple field tasks and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise tree installation projects and community outreach.
• Coordinate planting events, site checks, and tool organization.
• Oversee Planting Crew, including hiring, onboarding and training.
• Inspect work outputs and provide feedback to ensure safe, efficient planting.
• Maintain staff scheduling and timesheet approvals.
• Manage field operations, vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Procure equipment, materials, and manage inventories.
