Uncommon Schools seeks elementary teachers to cultivate a love of learning in every student from the start. You will teach math, reading, writing, ELA, science and social studies in a fast-paced, culturally responsive environment that values respect and hard work.

You will collaborate with leaders to analyze student work and differentiate instruction to support all learners. You will also partner with families, participate in weekly meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development to

• Commitment to social emotional and academic development of students.
• Enthusiasm for engaging with families in the best interest of students.
• Self-directed learner who seeks and uses feedback to improve outcomes.
• Interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools; 1–2 years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; NJ certification not required initially.

Responsabilidades

• Co-teach and build an engaging classroom that promotes mastery and dialogue.
• Teach math basics and develop reading and writing literacy.
• Deliver ELA, science, and social studies with diverse, relevant content.
• Meet weekly with principal or coach to analyze student work and differentiate.
• Support school culture, family partnership, and weekly team collaboration.
