Job summary

RK Logistics Group is seeking a Class C Bobtail/Van Driver to perform scheduled pickups and deliveries along assigned routes. A valid Class C license, 2–4 years of bobtail experience, clean DMV record, and medical card are required.

The role involves light loading, route navigation, and strong customer service in a fast-paced setting. The position requires attention to safety, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to adapt to changing routes and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related field.
• Strong math, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• LEAN principles knowledge including 5S and 7S execution.
• Working knowledge of inventory control; DOT regulations experience helpful.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; SAP experience a plus.
• Experience with handheld RF equipment; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, fueling, and cargo securement per DOT safety rules.
• Maintain records including driver logs and delivery documentation.
• Execute assigned routes and assist with additional pick-ups or drop-offs.
• Support route coverage and loadouts when needed to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate route delays or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Keep vehicle and terminal clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Demonstrate urgency and commitment to customer service.
• Apply DOT safety knowledge across various weather conditions.
• Assist with route planning based on traffic and operational needs.
