Job summary

RK Logistics Group, Inc. is seeking a Class C Bobtail Driver to perform scheduled pick-up and delivery operations on assigned routes. The role requires a valid Class C license, 2+ years of bobtail driving experience, a clean DMV record, and a current medical card.

You will handle light loading/unloading and navigate city routes in all weather conditions. The position emphasizes customer service, strong time management, and safety-conscious operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
• Strong math, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with LEAN principles, including 5S and 7S.
• Experience with handheld RF equipment (preferred).
• Forklift experience and/or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, fueling, and securement of cargo per DOT standards.
• Maintain driver logs and delivery documentation.
• Execute delivery routes and assist with additional pickups/drop-offs.
• Support route coverage and loadouts for safe operations.
• Communicate delays or vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Keep vehicle and terminal area clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Adapt to route changes and high-volume demands.
• Collaborate across departments and with external partners.
