Intrepid Travel in Denver is seeking Lead Guides for part-time, variable-hour roles with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week. Schedules are determined by business needs and volume, offering an engaging way to explore the Mile High City while sharing local history, food, and culture with travelers.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for travel, culture, and storytelling, along with excellent communication skills and a friendly, energetic personality.

Our Urban Adventures tours take travelers beyond the guidebook - whether that’s uncovering local history in LoDo, tasting our way through Denver’s food scene, or sharing the quirky facts and hidden gems that make the Mile High City special.

In Denver, the Lead Guides are part-time, variable-hour positions, requiring a minimum availability of 20 hours per week, with schedules determined by business needs and volume.

Every day will be different, but every day you will:

• Have passion and knowledge for and of your destination
• A passion for travel, food, culture, and/or history
• Excellent communication skills with individuals and group of people
• Empathy and emotional intelligence
• High standards customer experience
• An understanding of and belief in Intrepid’s Responsible Travel philosophy and Core Values
• Problem solving and decision-making capacities
• A friendly, engaging, and energetic personality

To be considered you may also have:

• Excellent communication in English and ideally one other local language (the more the better!)
• Strong customer service experience and experience in developing a rapport with a broad range of travelers
• Ability to manage trip budget and handle sums of money
• Map reading skills and a good sense of direction

Desired Skills & attributes:

• A willingness to work flexible hours according to the groups needs
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates recommended
• Leave No Trace Online Awareness Certificate recommended
