Job summary

The State of Wyoming’s Department of Environmental Quality, Land Quality Division, seeks a Program Supervisor for the SMURP to oversee uranium recovery and source material regulation, manage staff, and ensure protection of health and environment.

Travel is extensive; a Bachelor’s degree in the sciences and 3-5 years of relevant experience are required. The position offers comprehensive benefits and total compensation information is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in the sciences (required).
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience at the level of a Natural Resources Program Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Implement plans and goals of the Wyoming/NRC Agreement State Program, ensuring DEQ mission is met.
  • Organize, plan, and oversee all SMURP staff activities.
  • Coordinate licensing processes and oversee enforcement actions (e.g., Notice of Violation, Orders, Settlements).
  • Lead Bond Forfeiture proceedings within the Program.
  • Develop and revise policies, rules, and guidelines in coordination with administration.
