Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) operates Clive Behavioral Health, a 100-bed inpatient facility in Iowa. The UR Coordinator works with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and patients to promote quality outcomes and proper resource use, interpreting treatment plans and MCO requirements.

The role covers admissions screening, treatment planning, and discharge planning coordination, with an on-site full-time schedule Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• RN is required with BSN highly preferred.
• Three to five years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
• Experience with CMS quality improvement guidelines and Medicare/Medicaid coordination.
• Additional certifications in case management, mental health or quality improvement are highly regarded.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment activities and admissions screening.
• Interpret treatment plans and medical records per current standards of care.
• Interface with treatment team, external case managers and managed care organizations.
• Lead discharge planning and ensure appropriate care transitions.
• This position is on-site, full-time, Monday–Friday.
