Job summary

Utah State University is seeking a Part-Time Upward Bound Site Coordinator to work with UB students at GRAND COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, focusing on identifying eligible students, providing academic advisement, and guiding postsecondary planning. The role includes tutoring and coordinating college-ready activities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and experience with high school students, with willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends, in a collaborative setting with school staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education related field.
• Experience with 9th-12th grade students.
• Experience teaching.
• Experience leading student-centered projects.

Responsibilities

• Aid in identifying, recruiting and selecting participants.
• Develop and incorporate individualized educational plans for UB students.
• Develop and administer all academic year curriculum for Junior and Senior students.
• Plan and facilitate monthly campus exposure events with attendee roster and trip agenda.
• Assist in administering individualized tutoring.
• Act as a voice for Upward Bound at target school meetings.
• Advocate for participants to target school administration.
• Develop personalized relationships with participants and parents/guardians.
• Travel within Utah may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
