Job summary

Utah State University’s USU Eastern Upward Bound seeks a Program Coordinator I for the Price site and surrounding counties. The role supports low-income, first-generation, and at-risk students with academic advising, career guidance, financial aid counseling, tutoring, and motivational interventions to help them pursue higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counseling or related field required.
• Experience with 9th–12th grade students preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.
• Experience in advising and supporting economically disadvantaged youth is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Aid in identifying, recruiting and selecting participants.
• Develop individualized educational plans for Upward Bound students with the director.
• Develop and administer academic year curriculum for Junior and Senior students.
• Plan and facilitate monthly campus exposure events.
• Administer individualized tutoring.
• Collaborate with school staff to support participants’ needs.
