Job summary

Montana Tech is seeking a full-time Upward Bound/UBMS Coordinator to deliver college preparatory services to students in Butte. The role requires on-campus presence weekly and on-site work at target high schools.

Responsibilities include tutoring, college applications, and planning a 6-week intensive summer academy for participants. The coordinator will maintain paperwork for federal reporting, recruit students, and collaborate with schools and families to support student success and transition

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Experience with 9th–12th grade students.
• Experience as a project leader for student-oriented projects.
• Willing to travel frequently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfort with teenage students and advising adolescent development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring and college prep services to Upward Bound students.
• Support students in college and scholarship applications.
• Plan and run a 6-week summer academy for participants.
• Coordinate communication with students, parents, and target schools.
• Lead and evaluate tutors or tutoring programs and develop curricula.
