Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a WTR Technician for its 24/7 Operations team to operate and maintain ultrapure water and Industrial Wastewater systems, ensuring uninterrupted UPW supply to the Fab and compliant wastewater treatment.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, knowledge of water treatment processes, strong analytical skills, and willingness to work shifts. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college/technical school or equivalent related experience.
• Typically 2 years of related experience.
• Semiconductor or high volume manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of Ultrapure Water and Industrial Waste Water treatment processes.
• Must have strong multivariable analytical skills.
• Knowledge of industrial practices of Water Treatment and Purification systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of basic record keeping techniques.
• Ability to work shifts.
• Meet schedules and time lines.
• Skilled in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Flexible, Adaptable and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and systems in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve system reliability.
• Perform equipment rounds and readings: Able to access all areas of the UPW and IWT systems including but not limited to: Equipment rooms, Chemical areas including containment bays, IWT catwalks, and cleanroom manufacturing areas.
• Perform Operational Maintenance: Perform Ion Exchange regenerations, RO cleans and consumable replacements per SOP. With engineering and senior/master technician guidance, uses process knowledge and experience to adjust to field conditions, as necessary.
