Job summary

Kid to Kid in Virginia Beach (Pembroke location) seeks a full-time Assistant Manager to lead the team and ensure a welcoming, organized shopping environment. You’ll supervise daily store operations, train staff, and promote growth within our SRG network. Prior leadership experience is valued, but a willingness to learn is essential.

• Be friendly and helpful to customers, maintaining a positive store vibe
• Presort incoming clothes, shoes, and accessories from vendors
• Use the system to appraise and price items for resale
• Organize racks, tag, and hang clothing
• Ring up customers and teach them how to sell to us
• Assist with social media posts and store promotions
• Merchandize and keep the store looking appealing
• Handle opening/closing tasks and nightly reports
• Assist Store Manager in leading the team and store operations
• Support from a dedicated admin team and cross-training opportunities

We’re looking for a full-time Assistant Manager to join our team. Leadership experience is appreciated, but not required. We are looking for people with the ability to lead, the willingness to learn, and the commitment to improve our store performance. Our store is part of a network of Uptown locations, and we love to promote and grow from within.

Responsibilities

• Be helpful and nice to our customers - our store vibe is everything
• Presort incoming clothes, shoes, and accessories brought in from vendors (people from the community who want to sell to us)
• Use our computer system to buy in and price incoming items
• Organize racks, tag and hang up clothing
• Ring out customers on the register and teach them how to sell to us
• Help make posts on our social media pages
• Merchandise! Organize clothing, handbags, and shoes, make the store look pretty!
• Opening and closing tasks (closing down systems, nightly reports, opening/closing tills)
• Inventory management - transporting back stock bins to and from storage unit using a company box truck
• Assist Store Manager in leading the team
