Job summary

HandCraft Services in Richmond, VA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Level 1–2) to keep the plant running safely and efficiently. You will blend mechanical and electrical skills to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and mentor teammates on a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical/electrical principles.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety: follow protocols, recognize hazards, and drive corrective actions.
• Execute PMs: inspections and scheduled maintenance on critical assets.
• Diagnose and repair: resolve mechanical and electrical issues swiftly and effectively.
• Document work thoroughly: repairs, inspections, and preventive tasks.
• Collaborate across shifts and teams; share expertise and provide technical support.
• Coach junior technicians to build bench strength.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
