Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.

• Professional Engineer certifications preferred.
• 4 years of automotive or truck industry experience preferred.
• 2 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems with demonstrated ability to apply concepts.
• Proficient in analysis and simplification of complex systems for uptime and reliability.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design/documentation.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Strong technical writing capable of clear engineering documentation.
• Ability to apply critical/adaptive thinking to complex challenges.
• Data-driven decision making with ability to interpret technical data.
• Problem-solving focus to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Ability to communicate complex system information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Datalogging and testing equipment systems performance.
• Assist Uptime Project Manager in evaluations.
• Assist repair procedure development and reliability efforts.
• Assist in developing technical solutions and design standards.
• Develop new automotive/truck system concepts and standards (incl. SAE/TMC).
• Contribute to other projects as assigned.
