Job summary

Franklin Biolabs in King of Prussia, PA, seeks a Scientist, Upstream Operations to execute upstream or downstream operations for production and purification of vial-based vectors for clinical use.

The role requires a BS/BA in Biology or related field and 3–6 years of experience in cell culture, large-scale manufacturing, or purification techniques, with gene therapy experience preferred. On-site work with strict GMP and regulatory adherence expected.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Biology, Biochemical Eng, Chemical Eng, or related discipline required.
• 3–6 years of direct experience in cell culture, large scale manufacturing, and/or purification techniques; gene therapy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and agencies (USDA, OLAW, FDA, AAALAC).
• Must be meticulous, detail oriented, and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Execute upstream or downstream operations for production and purification of vial-based vectors for clinical use.
• Develop understanding of process science behind Franklin Biolabs’ platform manufacturing technologies.
• Adhere to GMP and regulatory requirements to execute processes.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure alignment and effective communication, including hybrid/remote collaboration.
