Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in upstream oil and gas operations or control room work.
• Experience in a control room, SCADA, or remote monitoring is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices, environmental compliance, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-team operation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA data continuously to identify interruptions and notify field personnel.
• Escalate safety concerns promptly and support Stop Work Authority protocols.
• Coordinate information between field crews and corporate teams during shifts.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, alarms, events, and communications records.
• Conduct remote starts/stops and adjust setpoints within approved procedures.
• Track wells, tanks, compression, and gathering systems for abnormalities.
• Classify alarms as actionable or nuisance and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide clear operational updates and thorough handovers at shift changes.
• Support production plans with timely data and post-event observations.
